The Friends of Alfred Shaker Museum (FASM) and the Sanford-Springvale Historical Society will jointly sponsor a speakers’ series on four Sunday afternoons at the museum during the tourist season.
Each event is free, though donations will be graciously accepted.
The series has been titled the Sid Emery Memorial Forum after the late Sidney Emery, a member of both organizations, who died at the age of 101. Sid Emery lived in Springvale for more than 60 years and had many connections with Alfred.
All talks will be held at the Alfred Shaker Museum unless specified otherwise.
The historical society’s web site is at www.sanfordhistory.org.
